About the role

  • Design and develop Workday's internationalization, localization, and agentic AI platforms and capabilities
  • Lead architecture and development best practices and mentor team members
  • Partner with internal teams to provide fit-for-purpose language experiences for customers
  • Leverage AI and automation to drive innovation and deliver products to market
  • Participate in specification design, data collection and labeling, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring

Requirements

  • 7+ years software development experience
  • Expert proficiency in Object Oriented (OO) languages like Java, C# or similar
  • Expert proficiency in Python using libraries such as boto3, numPy, pyTorch, pandas or similar
  • Hands-on experience delivering products to market which combine traditional software engineering and AI capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering)
  • Practical experience with generative models, large language models (LLM), RAG systems, transformer neural networks
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP), containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and data engineering pipelines (e.g. ETL)
  • Experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions using large-scale datasets including specification design, data collection and labeling, model development, validation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring
  • Experience with finetuning models including identifying and curating datasets and experimenting with models for iterative improvement
  • Collaboration, effective communication and accountability skills
  • Onsite location: IND.Chennai (must be able to work in Chennai)
