About the role

  • Lead a world class Solution Consulting Team focused on selling Workday HCM and associated solutions to North American Higher Education
  • Communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday's applications to prospects and customers
  • Work closely with sales counterparts and collaborate with Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, Industries and Value Management teams
  • Mentor and guide team members, ensuring continual advancement in skills and knowledge
  • Advise sales strategy and oversee performance and delivery in support of sales and solution consulting goals
  • Assist team members in growing their careers and set strategy and execution plans for the business
  • Support sales opportunities and provide solution consulting expertise
  • Travel expected up to 50%

Requirements

  • Manager, Solution Consulting: 5+ years in a sales-related role (sales, presales, value management, customer success, etc.) selling enterprise software
  • Manager: 2+ years of experience leading people and/or mentoring colleagues on sales opportunities and strategy
  • Manager: 2+ years direct experience with the higher education, nonprofit, or state & local industries
  • Manager: 2+ years experience with HCM solutions or human resource management domain expertise (talent acquisition, talent management, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee experience)
  • Sr. Manager, Solution Consulting: 7+ years in a sales-related role selling enterprise software
  • Sr. Manager: 4+ years of experience leading people and/or mentoring colleagues on sales opportunities and strategy
  • Sr. Manager: 4+ years direct experience with the higher education, nonprofit, or state & local industries
  • Sr. Manager: 4+ years experience with HCM solutions or human resource management domain expertise (talent acquisition, talent management, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee experience)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Awareness of the competitive landscape for enterprise software in the higher education market
  • Ability to lead executive level presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Consistent achievement or overachievement of assigned goals and targets
  • Success in coaching coworkers in ways that allowed them to learn new skills and achieve career goals
  • Collaborative with those in other roles to work towards shared goals
  • A history of using data to support your decision-making process
  • Willingness/ability to travel up to 50%
