About the role
- As a Working Student in Game Design / Game Balancing you will support our Product and Economy team in mapping, simulating and documenting complex game elements and feature economies in Machinations
- Create and maintain Machinations models for our core features, reward flows and economies
- Analyze coin flows, bet sizes, reward frequencies and their impact on engagement, retention and monetization
- Support simulations for new features, A/B tests, difficulty curves and balancing iterations
- Document models, parameters, assumptions and simulation results
- Assist the Product team in interpreting model data
- Build a structured model library to keep models maintainable and scalable
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Game Design, Data Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar)
- Strong affinity for numbers and analytical mindset
- Prior experience with Machinations is mandatory: please link or briefly document examples in your CV/application (screenshots, videos or model links)
- Basic understanding of game economy / balancing concepts (reward systems, difficulty curves, currency flow)
- Good communication skills in English (or German)
- Independent, structured working style and willingness to learn new skills
- Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
- Nice to have: experience in Social Casino, Free-to-Play or Live-Ops
