About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support AWS platform enablement initiatives using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and GitOps principles.
Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform modules.
Implement and manage AWS database services in highly available environments.
Design and optimize operational processes related to AWS services.
Collaborate closely with the team responsible for AWS Landing Zone design and governance.
Develop and maintain GitHub workflows, automation, and CI/CD processes.
Configure, monitor, and optimize AWS database platforms.
Implement security controls and access management using AWS IAM.
Support cloud infrastructure automation and platform standardization.
Utilize AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
Contribute to technical design discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, particularly: Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) DynamoDB
Experience operating highly available AWS database environments, including: Multi-AZ failover Snapshots and Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) RTO/RPO planning and implementation CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and Enhanced Monitoring Database audit logging Performance tuning and scaling BYOK encryption for data at rest
Strong Terraform experience: Development of reusable and parameterized Terraform modules Infrastructure as Code implementation and testing
Experience with GitHub: GitHub Actions Workflows and GitOps principles Release Please Conventional Commits Semantic Versioning Pre-commit hooks TFLint, tfdocs, and similar tooling
Strong AWS networking knowledge: VPC Endpoints Service integration patterns DNS-related impacts and troubleshooting
Deep understanding of AWS IAM: Users, groups, roles, and policies IAM policy JSON syntax Permission evaluation logic (Allow/Deny) Managed, inline, identity-based, and resource-based policies IAM Conditions (IP restrictions, MFA, tags, etc.) Permission Boundaries Cross-account access management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and propose improvements and technical solutions.
Experience working within regulated or enterprise-scale environments is highly desirable.
AWS certifications relevant to cloud infrastructure, security, or database services.
Experience designing or supporting AWS Landing Zones.
Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools and practices.
