About the role
- Own and improve onboarding operations. Manage the end-to-end operational onboarding process, including welcome communications, I-9 verification, swag coordination, and IT setup. Continuously improve the process as we grow.
- Coordinate in-person orientation. Collaborate with Talent Programs in designing and running onboarding experiences at our San Francisco hub.
- Lead cross-functional People Ops work. Partner with Finance, Total Rewards, IT, Legal, Recruiting, and People Business Partners to plan and execute People Ops initiatives.
- Maintain People data accuracy. Manage Workday transactions for job changes, departures, and compensation updates while keeping data clean and audit-ready.
- Build scalable processes. Identify gaps across onboarding, offboarding, and core People Ops workflows and design better systems.
- Support compliance and audit readiness. Maintain accurate records and documentation, assist with audit preparation, and provide backup support for compliance-related processes as needed.
- Collaborate on reporting and analytics. Partner with cross-functional partners to build Workday reports that inform decisions and support operational and business needs.
- Improve the People Ops helpdesk. Respond to Tier 1 and Tier 2 questions, identify common trends, and improve self-serve resources.
- Drive People Ops projects. Lead initiatives like onboarding improvements, data audits, and employee experience programs.
- Support the team. Share knowledge and help improve how People Ops operates across the company.
Requirements
- Have 3–5+ years of experience in People Ops, HR operations, or a similar role, ideally in a fast-growing environment.
- Must be a Workday power user, comfortable handling transactions, running reports, and catching data issues early.
- Are familiar with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk, Culture Amp, Navan, and Slab or Notion, and pick up new tools quickly.
- Think in systems and enjoy improving processes.
- Are organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Communicate clearly and thoughtfully across teams.
- Take ownership and follow through.
