About the role
- Own and evolve the global internal communications strategy
- Design programs for regular updates, team-specific needs, and launches
- Ensure company values, tone, and way of working are reflected in communications
- Partner with organizational leaders and cross-functional leads to translate strategy into stories
- Audit and evolve internal channels (Slack, All-Hands, etc.) to improve timeliness and usefulness
- Set goals, use feedback and metrics, and measure internal engagement and impact
- Report to the VP of Communications & Policy and collaborate across departments
- Build, iterate on, and, when necessary, break internal comms systems to scale
Requirements
- 8+ years of communications experience
- Experience in-house at a fast-paced tech company, marketplace, or creator-focused platform
- Have built (and rebuilt) internal comms programs from scratch, especially in times of growth, change, or scale
- Ability to distill complex or nuanced information into meaningful, human, and useful communications
- Comfortable working on broader comms projects and handling urgent issues
- Experience partnering with executives and influencing without adding noise
- Comfortable presenting to small and large groups
- Fluency with tools like Slack and Loom
- Data-minded with experience setting goals and using feedback and metrics to track engagement
- Required to be within commuting distance of San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York City hubs
