About the role

  • Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe to buy, sell, and discover the things you love.
  • Responsible for growing our seller pipeline and ensuring we meet the needs of our buyers on Whatnot.
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify top sellers; develop outreach strategies including email copy, warm/cold calls, social media outreach, and in-person events.
  • Develop relationships with sellers and collaborate with internal teams to drive business growth.
  • Grow into Sales Manager roles or other opportunities by working on a fast paced growth team.
  • Team members must be within 50 miles of our Los Angeles or New York City hubs.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • You have a passion for our mission at Whatnot - you live and breathe the needs of our communities and work relentlessly to improve their experiences on Whatnot
  • You love operating in ambiguity and being a solution oriented self starter
  • You are always curious and a fast learner, meaning you can pick up and deeply understand all parts of our sales process and the various categories on the platform
  • You have strong communication skills- both verbal and written and can hold an engaging conversation
  • You have strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
  • You can take in qualitative and quantitative data to make a judgment call on if a seller is a good fit for Whatnot
  • You have resiliency through the sales process and can handle and work through rejection or objections
  • You are excited about our cultural principles and to work in a high-growth and high potential environment where change is a constant
  • Team members in this role are required to be within 50 miles of our Los Angeles or New York City hubs.
