About the role
- responsible for expanding new and existing relationships with our broker/consultant channel
- managing a region of the country
- building relationships with enterprise level consultants
- generating RFPs specific to large enterprise opportunities
- obtaining an annual sales goal and seeing the sales process through from start to finish
- engaging with key internal stakeholders to help close enterprise opportunities
- collaborating with the sales coordinator, marketing resources, and implementation and other support teams
- delivering online product demonstrations and onsite meetings when applicable
- identifying product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
- establishing and attending meetings with new and existing relationships to generate Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in the health benefits account industry
- high energy, well organized, team player
- ability to lead cross-functional teams throughout the entire sales cycle
- demonstrated history of exceeding sales goals
- self-driven and ambitious professional
- proven ability for prospecting and building relationships with health benefit brokers and consultants
- strong interpersonal skills and excellent relationship building
- high emotional intelligence
- strong written and oral communication skills
- excellent contract and proposal negotiation skills
- experience utilizing sales tools including Salesforce.com
- strong leadership experience
