About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own Product Development: Take ownership of the product development lifecycle, from discovery to launch and iteration.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver impactful product solutions.
- Drive User-Centric Innovation: Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, pain points, and workflows.
- Use insights to develop and prioritize a strategic product roadmap that aligns with company goals.
- Define & Track Key Metrics: Establish measurable objectives to assess product success.
- Regularly analyze product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to inform data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work alongside marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure seamless go-to-market strategies, adoption, and continuous product improvement.
- Balance Strategy & Execution: Manage trade-offs between feature requests, technical constraints, and business needs while maintaining a clear product vision.
- Lead Agile Development: Translate product requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable development tasks.
- Work in an Agile environment with engineering teams to iterate quickly.
- Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Conduct competitive analysis, monitor industry developments, and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Write. A lot: Document decisions, user research findings, Jira tickets, PRDs, etc. As a team, we write to solidify our thinking, communicate and keep everyone on the same page.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-3 years of product management experience with a track record of successfully launching and managing SAAS products.
- Previous experience in sales, customer success, UX research, design, or engineering —you’ve worked closely with users or technical teams before transitioning into product management and thrive off of customer interactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- You juggle multiple priorities without dropping any of them.
- Process driven. You know that the key to repeatable success is repeatable actions. You are consistent and follow through.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities —you can influence and align teams around a shared vision.
- A bias for action —you’re comfortable making decisions in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and iterating quickly.
- Bonus: Experience working in a small team or in a high-growth, fast-moving organization.
- Bonus: Experience in education or ed tech is a plus.
