About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervise inventory control clerks, supply room personnel, and return goods coordinators
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve workflow, accuracy, performance, and compliance
Lead multi-site inventory management for raw materials, finished goods, and consignment locations
Oversee cycle counting, month-end inventory, year-end inventory, and related control processes
Support production scheduling and line configuration to maximize throughput, reduce downtime, and meet customer and inventory requirements
Develop annual SKU forecasts and manage related information in JD Edwards
Maintain Product Data Management processes, including creation and maintenance of JDE catalog items across branch plants
Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory, planning, scheduling, and operational issues
Provide coaching, direction, and support to team members to drive accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Support manufacturing operations through regular interaction with production, inventory, receiving, supply room, and cross-functional teams
Occasionally work on the production floor while following safety procedures and PPE requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
Minimum of six years of direct inventory management and planning experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn concepts into actionable plans
Proven ability to lead through influence across departments and levels of the organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience with JD Edwards or similar database/ERP systems
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
Ability to follow required safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements
CPSM or similar supply chain designation preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience preferred
