About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Quick establishment of strong relationships with all existing customers
  • Sell Westlake Royal Building Products’ concrete and clay roofing products to achieve targets/quotas
  • Work with architects and designers to ensure product specifications
  • Interpret data obtained from lead generation, industry/market data, research
  • Drive product performance to achieve market share, sales growth, and ASP
  • Develop and maintain territory plans to meet business objectives and sales goals
  • Maintain positive customer relations by consulting with current and potential customers
  • Build rapport with key decision makers within customer organizations
  • Participate in local building and roofing trade shows
  • Provide marketing opportunities and competitive products information
  • Recommend changes in products, practices, and marketing activities
  • Operate within budgetary limits and manage customer complaints according to policy
  • Submit sales reports and forecasts in a timely manner
  • Participate in sales, technical, and product training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish)
  • Direct sales experience preferred; building product sales experience preferred
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, detail oriented
  • An enthusiastic, self-starter with good interpersonal skills
  • Requires a consultative mind-set, solution-oriented method of selling
  • Working knowledge of MS office suite including teams and outlook 365
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP or other deal desk systems
  • Insurability and valid US state driver’s license is mandatory.
