About the role

  • Lead large-scale Procurement Projects for Westinghouse Energy Systems, working with cross-functional teams and standard work to build, execute and report project implementation plans
  • Lead all procurement activities in assigned programs to assure readiness for pre-PO and post-PO to ensure predictive delivery during execution
  • Oversee procurement activities for Energy Systems projects and partner with project leads, WBS Director and functional teams on project charter, benefits and resource requirements
  • Monitor active projects, update status, eliminate roadblocks, and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Investigate, coordinate, and communicate project changes
  • Support client input and develop sourcing plans to minimize risks, generate savings, and ensure predictive delivery during project execution
  • Provide cost leadership guidance supporting sourcing strategy considering Total Cost of Ownership
  • Develop and implement processes and standard work; scout market for innovative technologies and digitalization opportunities
  • Report to the Senior Director, Energy Systems Account Management & Procurement Execution
  • Position may be remote with ability to travel 10% to 20%

Requirements

  • BA/BS engineering (preferred) or related field
  • 8+ years of project management experience
  • Minimum 5 years managing large and complex projects (engineering, procurement, and construction projects)
  • Experience in contract/project administration of large, complex projects
  • Strong analytical experience & problem-solving ability
  • Experience collaborating across multiple regions and product lines
  • Experience in International Sourcing and knowledge of supplier base for the nuclear sector (a plus)
  • Strategic and analytical orientation with ability to translate strategy into operational results
  • Experience running large and complex cross-functional projects
  • ERP system or similar system experience in a global environment (SAP & Ariba beneficial)
  • Eligible and authorized to travel to the U.S. and comply with applicable U.S. export laws and regulations
