About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for complex nuclear power plant systems; evaluating a plant's potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (i.e., seismic, fire, flooding, etc.).
- Assessments may support both domestic and international operating plants, as well as new reactors still in the design phase.
- Lead global project teams by contributing to technical scope execution in various roles (author, mentor, verifier), as well as meeting schedule and financial objectives.
- Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies.
- Support and identify strategic initiatives, develop product offerings, and pursue target product markets.
- Mentor early-career engineers and lead initiatives for knowledge management and retention.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- 10+ years professional experience with minimum 7 years of experience with PRA Model development applied to nuclear plants.
- Advanced degree and/or Professional Engineer license considered a plus.
- Knowledge of PWR reactor operations.
- In addition to basic Risk and Hazard skills, you should have a knowledge of:
- · Internal/External Hazards PRAs
- Level 2 PRAs
- Human Reliability Analysis (HRA)
- Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)
- Proficiency with PRA software (CAFTA, RiskSpectrum)
- Peer Review experience preferred.
