About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform multiple quality assurance tasks to ensure externally sourced products meet the quality and technical requirements defined by Westinghouse
Manage the execution of plans for supplier program development, oversight, and quality verification activities
Develop and implement supplier surveillance and oversight plans to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards
Resolve supplier quality issues which adversely impact product quality
Perform independent assessments and oversight to confirm that suppliers have established, implemented, and maintained effective quality management systems
Monitor progress to achieve established quality goals within budgetary and schedule constraints
Create certification documents, identifying procurement requirements met by purchased materials or equipment
Lead assessments of the global supply base to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes and standards
Evaluate supplier quality plans and processes to verify compliance to quality and technical requirements
Apply advanced quality control techniques and statistical methods

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, technical area or equivalent
4 or more years of experience
An NQA-1 Certified Lead Auditor certification is desirable
Capability to explain QA procedures to internal personnel and external customers, subcontractors, suppliers and licensees relative to Westinghouse quality related products and services
Solution development, work planning, and priority setting skills with attention to risks
