About the role
- Lead teams in execution of supplier surveillance, oversight plans, and quality verification activities for externally sourced products
- Develop and implement supplier surveillance and oversight plans for complex and first-of-a-kind procurements
- Lead assessments of the global supply base to ensure compliance with regulations, codes and standards
- Evaluate supplier quality plans, procedures, and processes to verify compliance to Westinghouse engineering requirements
- Create certification documents identifying procurement requirements met by purchased material or equipment
- Apply advanced quality control techniques and statistical methods to identify failure causes, trends, and measure effectiveness of supplier QA programs
- Write detailed segments of QA plans/programs according to NRC, Westinghouse and customer QA standards
- Monitor progress, direct teams to achieve quality goals within budget and schedule constraints
- Report to Manager, Supplier Quality Assessments and resolve complex supplier quality issues
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience is required
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, technical area or equivalent is required
- An NQA-1 Certified Lead Auditor certification is desirable
- Capability to concisely explain QA procedures to internal personnel and external customers, subcontractors, suppliers and licensees relative to Westinghouse quality related products and services
- Ability to develop solutions, plan work and set priorities while using a questioning attitude to identify risks
- Experience writing QA plans/programs according to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Westinghouse and customer QA standards
- Ability to lead teams and manage supplier quality programs
- Willingness and ability to travel 40-50% as required
