Supervision of SCADA software development, SCADA commissioning, SCADA hardware start-up to control renewable photovoltaic and battery storage power plants.
This position is responsible for the overall management of the team and assigned projects, to ensure compliance within required budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals.
Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site.
Manage the engineering, procurement and construction oversight-activities necessary to develop, license/permit, erect, start-up, and commence commercial operations.
Responsible for integration, programming, commissioning, and testing of power plant SCADA systems and RTU.
Working with project requirements and specifications to integrate renewable power plants in SCADA to controls power generation onto the utility grid.
Works collaboratively with resources in various disciplines to determine project priorities and work plans.
Meets corporate objectives with limited project management, scheduling and estimating resources.
Manages department resources to provide effective early-stage project development support.
Ensure projects are efficiently, effectively and safely implemented in accordance with department procedures and policies.
Manages walk down of planned work, validates acceptance of completed work to design requirements, approves contractor payment requests.
Verifies constructability, ensures proper resource allocations, assesses field status and resolves issues as needed.
Leads project meetings and reviews budget, risk tracker, and contingency allocations.
Interfaces with project's designated management committees or acts as Executive Director of project activities.
Supervises activities and/or coordinates activities or groups, such as safety programs, engineering, construction, budget, and analysis and contract administration.
Oversee commissioning activities to meet corporate objectives, with limited project management, scheduling and estimating resources.
Plans and schedules work and vendors to achieve portfolio deliverables.
Design, integrate, program, commission and test power plant controller and SCADA for Photovoltaic and Energy Store System
Reviews and comments on SCADA engineering design.
Reporting daily, weekly, and monthly on progress to management.
Requirements
Bachelor or Equivalent degree in Engineering or Automation System with experience or related education with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
Experience or related education in programming and commissioning of SCADA.
Experience managing commission of SCADA equipment.
Knowledge of process control commissioning and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of AC and DC circuits and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to understand electrical schematics and drawings.
Review drawings packages and OEM specifications versus installed equipment to confirm it meets design and manufacturer standards.
Ability to understand SCADA and communication schematics and drawings.
0-10 volt and 4-20 mA loop knowledge and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Programmable Logic controllers, RTU, meters, networking equipment, fiber optic equipment, and others.
Knowledge of Ignition, OPC Serves and SCADA historian.
Knowledge of automation protocols (Modbus, DNP3, CAN, OPC, EtherNet/IP and others)
Knowledge managed switches, Hirschman’s, MOXA, Cisco and others.
Knowledge of Networking, Cyber Security and Firewalls.
Knowledge of renewable SCADA and control systems.
Project Management experience handling multiple consultants, vendors and EPCs.
