💰 $39 - $44 per hour

About the role

  • Update communications state information for distribution automation devices (reclosers, capacitors, etc.).
  • Perform GIS data QA/QC to ensure geospatial accuracy and understanding of operational systems.
  • Reconcile communications data with GIS datasets and validating device states.
  • Support ADMS v39 upgrade testing, including validation, troubleshooting, and model checks.
  • Participate in OMS testing and wildfire mitigation test activities.
  • Help with model promotion, data validation, and troubleshooting of the ADMS impedance model.
  • Maintain SharePoint files, GIS versioning/change sets, and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Ensure data integrity across systems used by operations and engineering teams.
  • Support ad hoc projects, system updates, and related operational activities.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of GIS experience (utility or critical infrastructure).
  • Experience with version‑based GIS editing (versioning, change sets, multiuser editing).
  • Read and interpret engineering diagrams (e.g., one-line diagrams, feeder maps).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including SharePoint.
  • Experience with integrated GIS solutions where GIS data feeds operational systems.
  • Familiarity with SCADA concepts (e.g., high‑level understanding of a recloser's remote control/communications).
  • Experience supporting ADMS or other operational platforms is a plus.
