Your Day-to-Day: The person will be supporting solar farm design and construction. In this position, you will be responsible for managing 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects.
Project engineering responsibilities span from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning and require continuous coordination with diverse project stakeholders such as environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers for both early stage and construction.
The successful candidate will have experience applying value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems, along with thorough knowledge of the various applicable engineering disciplines including electrical, structural, civil, and materials.
The successful candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communications skills, along with a record of coordinating project stakeholders and mobilizing teams of engineers to achieve business objectives.
The preferred candidate will have experience successfully managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects.
Requirements
Education: Minimum - Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Discipline can be electrical, civil, mechanical, aerospace or chemical
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience. Exceptions can be made for less than 5 years if that experience is a good match
Engineering and project management experience on utility scale solar projects is preferred
Engineering and project management in the following fields may also be considered: -DG/commercial solar -Other technologies in the power industry – wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, transmission, etc
Strong candidates with experience outside of the power industry (aerospace, civil/stormwater, etc)
Great communication, leadership and project management skills
Remote work is okay. Ideally looking for candidates who live near Florida. Even if remote, candidates would be expected to travel to the office in Juno Beach periodically.
