About the role
- Support more senior engineering personnel in development efforts creating licensing documents for submittal to Westinghouse customers and regulatory agencies, focused on new plant technologies
- Collaborate and build relationships with multiple engineering teams to create licensing inputs.
- Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory meetings to present technical materials
- Communicate nature and status of work performed to appropriate technical lead and management
- Perform work within established scope, budgetary and schedule requirements
- Evaluate engineering design changes for regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Typically 3+ years of experience
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (typically Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Chemical)
- Nuclear licensing skills like development of 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations, License Amendments, and topical reports
- Familiar w/ NRC regulations and nuclear industry guidance
- Familiar w/ AP1000 design, operation, and work processes
- Establish networks across several areas.
- Ability to travel within US and Globally (<10% travel expected to support customer, industry, or regulator activities)
