About the role
- Support development of long‑term environmental compliance portfolios aligned with MPCA/EPA standards
- Contribute to closure/remediation scopes, cost/schedule inputs, and sequencing in partnership with PMs/CMs
- Conduct field visits and inspections
- Observe contractor activities; verify work vs. plans/specs; document findings, issues, and progress
- Prepare/review technical documentation, design inputs, and permit/compliance deliverables
- Partner with Internal Environmental Services on regulator interfaces and compliance strategy
- Coordinate with external engineering firms (environmental & civil design) and construction companies on constructability, logistics, and execution
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of civil/environmental engineering experience (mid‑career up to ~15 years considered)
- 5+ years of experience working with environmental regulations (as a regulator, consultant, or owner/operator)
- ABET‑accredited degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel to sites
