About the role

  • Manage equipment and tooling performance and reliability.
  • Gain detailed familiarization with current welding and machining tooling designs, operation and industry trends.
  • Track operational and financial metrics for tooling and equipment performance and solicit feedback from Field Project Managers and Technicians.
  • Analyze data to prioritize and bring solutions to equipment and tooling needs.
  • Work with Leadership to develop long-term equipment strategies based on projected needs and financial viability.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop new tooling and enhancements to existing equipment.
  • Develop cost estimates, schedules and proposals for manufacturing, tooling development, and secure funding for innovation projects.
  • Responsible for project management processes on high-complexity projects, or a portfolio of medium to high-complexity projects.
  • Lead and establish a healthy collaborative working environment between teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable disciplines include Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, and Welding Engineering.
  • 5 years of Project Management experience.
  • 5 years of Engineering/supervisory experience and 2+ years of technical field/shop experience, such as components tooling design and manufacturing for specialized functions at nuclear and fossil power plants, as equivalent.
  • Experience with Safety and Non-Safety Related Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Familiarity with automated and manual welding processes, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), and applicable ASME code sections.
  • Knowledge of tooling design, manufacturing, equipment reliability, and troubleshooting.
