About the role
- Lead and oversee all the procurement activities (pre-Purchase Order (PO) and post-PO) for APX Supply Chain Team
- Ensure electrical equipment and components are delivered on schedule, on budget, and meeting all applicable quality requirements
- Responsible for large scale AP1000 New Plant Procurement Projects
- Partner with APX Supply Chain functional teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements
- Monitor active projects, update status, eliminate roadblocks, and escalate issues as appropriate
- Investigate, coordinate, and communicate project changes
- Contribute to development a sourcing plan that will minimize risks, generate savings, and ensure predictive delivery through projects execution
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Engineering field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience (experience in contract/project administration, preferably of large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects is preferred)
- Strong analytic experience with advanced problem-solving ability and high attitude for ownership
- Ability to develop and maintain long term productive relationships with suppliers
- A team player collaborating with multiple regions & product lines to serve Westinghouse's customers
- Experience in International Sourcing and knowledge of supplier base
- Strategic & analytical orientation with ability to translate strategy into tangible operational results
- Experience with large and complex cross-functional projects
- Ability to travel globally up to 20% based on business needs.
