About the role
- Provide technical support for assigned work performed in the safety analysis of advanced reactor safety analysis consistent with regulatory requirements
- Perform modeling and analysis of thermal hydraulic systems including but not limited to CFD and other standard and non-standard T/H codes.
- Develop technical documentation and presentations related to these calculations and analyses
- Work as a cross functional team (i.e. system and component design, testing, manufacturing, or materials) to solve challenging technical problems to progress the advanced reactor designs
- Work and communicate with technical leads and project managers in coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope
Requirements
- BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or recognized equivalent required with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- 2+ years of experience
- Experience in thermal hydraulics and applied fluid transport
- Must have analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail and excellent communication skills including technical writing
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate a variety of issues: project status, issue resolution, engineering recommendations.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks within an innovative development program
