About the role
- As a Procurement Project Manager you will be responsible for managing multiple Procurement programs and projects by working with cross-functional teams to implement successful projects within allotted time, resource, and budget requirements
- This position will manage procurement programs in capital equipment, services, and special projects to ensure project schedules are met, resources are utilized effectively, and the proper relationships are established between internal and external teams
- This role is responsible for cost, schedule, performance, integration, and risk identification/mitigation on procurement projects including, but not limited to, materials, equipment, services, and other activities
- You will interface with internal and external teams: Commercial, Supplier Performance Engineering (SPE), Design Engineering, Quality, and external Suppliers
- Responsible for internal Task Plan tracking and accountability
- Task Plans are internal initiatives to resolve varying complexity Supplier and Sourcing challenges within the Energy Systems portfolio
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required (Preferably MBA or master's degree)
- Minimum 4 years of procurement experience (preferably within industries with large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement)
- Experience in leading sourcing projects, including Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ) and contract development
- Knowledge of Supplier Identification, development, and capabilities
- Strong Negotiating, Benchmarking, Market Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, and Procurement Projects Management skills
- Experience with vendor management including purchase order issuance, execution, and administration
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from quantitative data
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to communicate and engage at all organizational levels, ability to cultivate and sustain high quality professional relationships
- Ability to maintain long term productive relationships with suppliers (SRM)
- Ability to travel up to 20%
