About the role
- Responsible for design, integration and documentation of Plant Process Computer Systems used in nuclear power plants.
- Help design custom adapters/cabling and interfaces to transition existing plant equipment to new computer equipment.
- Assist with cabinet layout and design incorporated with needed power distribution, network distribution, network equipment, data acquisition equipment and servers.
- Preparation of documentation required by the customer to maintain the system after delivery.
- Perform review of hardware design, review in the area of system architecture, network layout, cabinet design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, cabinet power design.
- Perform review of data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs.
- Participate in the set-up, system modification and system integration and testing, and delivery of projects.
- Understand and implement the quality standards applicable to nuclear safety systems.
- Willing to travel and work with local customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of applicable experience required
- Data acquisition hardware and software
- Entry level knowledge of circuit designs to support custom cables and interfaces
- Knowledge of Data Acquisition systems consisting of Servers, workstations, controllers, I/O modules or boards.
- Experience with ACAD, 3D modeling Drawing review
- Experience with Cisco switches
- Experience with RTP data acquisition systems
