About the role
- Plant Fleet-based engineering role to support Client's energy supply projects group to help manage capital projects at the power plants across the region.
- Manage all emergent capital projects at the plant and supporting larger base and major capital projects.
- Help develop scope of work, technical specifications.
- Help with quotes for equipment and bid proposals.
- Coordinate material deliveries and installation of equipment.
- Support reliability engineering in helping develop scopes and justifications for projects and putting those through Client's emergent capital request system/process and would manage all the projects.
- Responsible for upwards of 20 small projects going on at one time in addition to supporting some of the larger base capital projects.
- Attend morning POD meetings.
- Oversee contractor performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering
- 2+ years of experience
- Prior experience working in manufacturing/plant environment like a power plant
- Previous experience with project management (cradle to grave) and project plan development, charters
- Manage budgets
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
- EIT/PE nice to have but not required.
