About the role
- Support the delivery of all technical elements of a project
- Drive innovation and new methods in the development of new technologies and nuclear systems
- Provide input and to the development of conceptual/detailed equipment designs as they progress through a structured design process
- Prepare clear and concise technical specifications, design requirements, requirements verification, design and test plans, reports
- Support or perform Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
- Support the manufacture, assembly and testing of systems, the resolution of manufacturing queries and assessment of non-conformances
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Interface with customers and outside vendors on issues and decisions surrounding the project execution.
- Support and development of system level interface drawings and documentation
Requirements
- Enrolled in 2nd year or recent graduate of a Nuclear engineering program at a university with a minimum GPA of 75%
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and knowledge
- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software
- A background with practical skills developed through jobs, school teams or personal interest are highly valued.
