About the role
- Lead the plant, including: developing and implementing strategies to improve safety, efficiency and productivity metrics; champions adherence to safety, regulatory and company policies; analyse financial, production, maintenance, quality control, and other operational reports, to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Champion and promote a culture of continuous improvement through the use of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, Systematic Leadership, and other tools;
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve operations.
- Plan, develops and implements strategic planning of the manufacturing goals, personnel development, and business objectives; plan and schedule production activities to meet customer requirements; monitor and analyse production metrics to identify areas for improvement;
- Deploy staff to balance individual development needs, longer term organisational development goals and to achieve maximum effectiveness for the business.
- Manages operational budgets; identifies opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Serve in critical outward facing role with direct interface to external partners including customers and regulators.
Requirements
- 10 plus years' experience in manufacturing operations or operations support functions.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
