About the role
- Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
- Assist others in the planning and document generation process for larger more complex projects
- Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members as needed to complete the work.
- Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders.
- Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups following an integrated change management process.
- Coordinate project communications ensuring team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of status.
- Maintain project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.
- Participate as primary author and/or reviewer of project procedures
- Participate in larger more complex projects as a project manager, supervisor, or individual contributor
- Properly close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools.
- Perform final project quality assessment and report out.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future
- Develop subject matter expertise in one ore more Instrumentation and Control Systems supported by the group
- Participate in system and field leadership training
- Assist in preparing and delivering project specific training for crews
- Demonstrate the skills and ability to perform assigned job tasks.
- Supervise assigned projects and teams with predetermined goals.
- Lead projects in a manner that upholds a nuclear safety culture and reinforces the policies and procedures of Westinghouse
- Cultivate positive relationships with team, customer, and other stakeholders (e.g. internal management) to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for additional business growth.
- Use present and past experience to improve project execution and innovation of new tooling and services to further the continuous improvement goals of the group and Westinghouse.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of Project Management experience, or 3 years of Project Management experience and 2 years in a technical role.
- Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
