About the role
- Develop functional requirements and apply standard engineering principles to projects.
- Create simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs.
- Design and test components, then integrate them into final products.
- Evaluate designs for effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
- Investigate causes of failures and recommend improvements.
- Manage projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Develop project plans, charters, and track budgets to ensure financial accuracy.
- Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with plant teams and external contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline)
- Other engineering fields considered if relevant to plant operations
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or plant environment (power plant preferred)
- Project management experience, including budget management and contractor oversight
- Familiarity with design principles, simulations, and testing processes
- Proficiency in project planning and financial management
- FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam passed or interest in taking it
- Experience with cradle-to-grave project lifecycle
