About the role

  • Develop functional requirements and apply standard engineering principles to projects.
  • Create simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs.
  • Design and test components, then integrate them into final products.
  • Evaluate designs for effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
  • Investigate causes of failures and recommend improvements.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Develop project plans, charters, and track budgets to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with plant teams and external contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline)
  • Other engineering fields considered if relevant to plant operations
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or plant environment (power plant preferred)
  • Project management experience, including budget management and contractor oversight
  • Familiarity with design principles, simulations, and testing processes
  • Proficiency in project planning and financial management
  • FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam passed or interest in taking it
  • Experience with cradle-to-grave project lifecycle
