About the role
- Act as the primary coordinator of a project
- Ensure its success across all phases of the project lifecycle
- Guarantee the achievement of project objectives by overseeing and coordinating all activities
- Perform operational activities related to Steam Generator Chemical Cleaning, Liquid Waste Treatment, and Sludge Lancing projects
- Uphold and promote Westinghouse values
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of and strict adherence to Westinghouse nuclear safety standards
- Ensure compliance with project schedules and milestones
- Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining clear and safe communication practices
- Maintain a questioning attitude and proactively identify, report, and manage deviations in accordance with procedures
- Manage and integrate all aspects of the project including safety, schedule, cost, revenue, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all contractual commitments and meet customer requirements
- Complete all components of established project planning processes per the Westinghouse Project Management Requirements (WPMR)
- Coordinate rigorous and disciplined project communications to ensure the team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of status
- Identify improvement or recovery opportunities to promote successful project delivery
- Measure project success through established KPIs, including customer feedback, performance, and financial health
- Provide accurate forecasts for financial performance
- Collaborate with Contract Managers to interpret and communicate requirements.
Requirements
- Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineer
- Education level: Master’s degree in Engineering (Bac+5 or equivalent)
- Years of experience: 3–5 years
- Professional certifications: SCN, RP, CSQ in the nuclear field preferred
- Skills and competencies: Office software skills, Microsoft Office (including MS Project), Mechanical engineering, SAP
