About the role
- Support fuel assembly and components thermal-hydraulic testing activities for nuclear fuel development projects
- Develop knowledge of nuclear steam supply systems, fuel assembly mechanical design, and structure of reactor core internals
- Develop knowledge of fluid Mechanics in reactors, fuel assembly and fuel rod vibration, heat transfer in reactors and core components, fretting wear, and departure from nucleate boiling thermal analysis
- Work with internal departments to support nuclear fuel projects
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a focus in thermal hydraulics
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Experience in analysis and testing
- Completed coursework in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics or equivalent classes
- Experience with MATLAB, Linux, LabVIEW
