About the role
- Lead teams to manage supplier program development, oversight, and quality verification activities for externally sourced products
- Develop and implement supplier surveillance and oversight plans for complex and first of a kind procurements
- Lead assessments of the global supply base for compliance with regulations, codes and standards
- Evaluate supplier quality plans, procedures, and processes to verify compliance to Westinghouse requirements
- Apply advanced quality control techniques and statistical methods to identify failures and trends
- Create certification documents for major equipment and components detailing procurement requirements met
- Write segments of QA plans/programs according to NRC, Westinghouse and customer QA standards
- Implement policies on scope and retention requirements of QA documentation
- Report to the Manager, Supplier Quality Assessments
- Travel 40-50% required
- Remote position
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience is required
- An NQA-1 Certified Lead Auditor certification is desirable
- A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, technical area or equivalent is required
- Capability to concisely explain QA procedures to internal personnel and external customers, subcontractors, suppliers and licensees relative to Westinghouse quality related products and services
- Ability to develop solutions, plan work and set priorities while using a questioning attitude to identify risks
- Exceed customers' expectations in ways that are in consideration of our goals
