About the role
- Take on capital project scopes of work including nuclear plant modifications/upgrades
- Create or revise long-term project plans
- Enhance project estimates
- Manage project resources and program related projects
- Coordinate with team members, construction/maintenance organization, and engineering department
- Conduct weekly meetings and sourcing vendors
- Manage contact initiation and financials
- Escalate concerns and observe scope, schedule, budget, and risk management
- Present to gain approvals for authorization
- Field/plant observation and working with internal/external partners
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience
- Experience managing projects of at least $1 million
- Nuclear power background
- ABET accredited Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Nuclear Engineering background
- Construction experience
- Familiarity with Project Management Institute (PMI) - PMBOK Waterfall/Predictive project management techniques/processes
- Ex-Navy nuclear experience or previous utility/power plant experience if no commercial nuclear power experience
- Previous experience with SAP, Unifier, UKG Workday, MS Project, and P6/Primavera is helpful
- PMP certification but not required
- SRO certification or Operator license beneficial
