About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage assigned substation projects from conception through construction and commissioning.
Support engineering requirements and scope development with the Development Group during the conceptual phase.
Report to the onsite Manager.
Provide training, due diligence, and technical oversight of external engineers of record.
Ensure compliance with generation interconnection agreements, scope of work documents, project specifications, site-specific design requirements, IEEE, NESC, and ASCE standards.
Secure engineering consulting resources by developing scopes of work, securing bids, evaluating proposals, and awarding work through the Integrated Supply Chain Group.
Coordinate substation site development, engineering updates, data, and permits.
Represent internal and external project interests through progress and risk-mitigation presentations and management meetings.
Support review of interconnection documentation, including system impact, facility, reactive, and harmonic studies and interconnection agreements.
Ensure Transmission Owner requirements, E&C engineering design, and ISO requirements are incorporated into project design.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
5+ years experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects.
Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience.
PMP and/or P.E. in related discipline is helpful.
Some travel required within North America.
Applicants must meet applicable United States and comparable country export control requirements.
