About the role
- Owns Profit and Loss accountability for multiple insurance product lines, sectors, states and regions and reports P/L growth performance to stakeholders.
- Achieves underwriting profit and growth objectives through product, pricing, underwriting, and other actions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborates with senior leadership and stakeholders to develop multi-year customer-centric product strategy for assigned products.
- Leads development and innovation of insurance products from concept to launch: market research, feature design, pricing, regulatory compliance, testing, and documentation.
- Recommends and negotiates improvements or changes in process or systems design.
- Monitors and analyzes product performance tracking KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Identifies market opportunities, defines product vision and strategy, and delivers measurable results including process improvements.
- Resolves system issues by leading research and root-cause analysis and monitoring system controls and processes to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Insurance Product Management or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in business or any relevant field and/or commensurate experience.
- Master's degree in management or technical field preferred.
- 2+ Years in Auto Product Management (Commercial or Personal Lines) preferred.
- Certified Product Manager (CPM) preferred.
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred.
- Experience with product roadmap, product strategy, product requirement analysis, market research, quality assurance, agile project management, enterprise application software, technology solutions, and insurance operations.
