Resident Service Technician

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation on S/RMs, conveyors, palletizers, lifts, and robotic systems at customer sites
- Provide on-site customer support and maintain daily communication with customers, including written service reports and follow-up actions
- Support parts and service sales by identifying customer needs and assisting with parts order processing and follow-up
- Conduct routine inspections and equipment repairs on installed systems
- Coordinate technical and business information between customers, Sales, Engineering, and Service teams
- Maintain professional customer relationships while resolving issues in a calm and effective manner
- Submit required documentation and service paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Promote teamwork and collaboration within the Service Department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong electro/mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skill
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (self-starter)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar business applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and internal teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to professionally resolve customer concerns and complaints
- Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Fit for air travel and legal eligibility to rent and operate a rental vehicle through the company’s corporate account, in compliance with rental agency policies and insurance requirements
- Previous experience with electro/mechanical repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting required
- Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment required
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree or mechatronics certification (preferred)
