People Manager, HR

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As the People Manager, you play a critical role in shaping the employee experience at Western Computer.
- You lead key people programs, support our team’s operational excellence, and serve as a trusted partner to employees and managers.
- From onboarding and compliance to benefits support and employee engagement, you help ensure our people feel supported, heard, and empowered.
- Assist in developing and implementing People strategies that foster a high-performance culture and support business growth.
- Implement and ensure compliance with Western’s People policies and procedures, communicating clearly and consistently across the organization.
- Maintain accurate employee records in TriNet and other platforms.
- Produce and analyze people metrics including headcount, turnover, retention, hiring, engagement, and training completion.
- Handle complex employee relations cases and apply our policies consistently and fairly.
- Partner with the Director of People to administer compensation programs, salary reviews, promotions, and market-based pay practices.
- Oversee semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll processing in partnership with TriNet.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years HR experience
- Experience in employee relations, compliance, benefits, payroll, and performance management
- Multi-state and Canadian employment law knowledge
- HRIS experience
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- Preferred Professional services, consulting, or technology industry experience
- Experience supporting remote workforces
- Experience with TriNet, Lattice, Teamtailor, and Microsoft 365
