Key responsibilities & impact

As the People Manager, you play a critical role in shaping the employee experience at Western Computer.
You lead key people programs, support our team’s operational excellence, and serve as a trusted partner to employees and managers.
From onboarding and compliance to benefits support and employee engagement, you help ensure our people feel supported, heard, and empowered.
Assist in developing and implementing People strategies that foster a high-performance culture and support business growth.
Implement and ensure compliance with Western’s People policies and procedures, communicating clearly and consistently across the organization.
Maintain accurate employee records in TriNet and other platforms.
Produce and analyze people metrics including headcount, turnover, retention, hiring, engagement, and training completion.
Handle complex employee relations cases and apply our policies consistently and fairly.
Partner with the Director of People to administer compensation programs, salary reviews, promotions, and market-based pay practices.
Oversee semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll processing in partnership with TriNet.

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years HR experience
Experience in employee relations, compliance, benefits, payroll, and performance management
Multi-state and Canadian employment law knowledge
HRIS experience
Strong communication and coaching skills
Preferred Professional services, consulting, or technology industry experience
Experience supporting remote workforces
Experience with TriNet, Lattice, Teamtailor, and Microsoft 365
