About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze, structure, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of major and complex loans
  • Work with the Vice President, Commercial Banker to manage loans and responsibly monitor and identify credit risks
  • Participate in underwriting and closing desirable credits to support Bank, region, and branch goals
  • Assure compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations
  • Interface with clients in person, by phone, and by email to assess credit needs and determine appropriate structures and analysis requirements
  • Gather and analyze information and present financing requests with the Relationship Manager to senior management or Loan Committee
  • Coordinate processing of approved loans according to agreements, customer needs, and Bank lending policies
  • Obtain sufficient information and documentation from customers
  • Assist with problems related to loan processing and servicing within the Relationship Manager's portfolio
  • Reinforce superior customer service through follow-through with customers and employees
  • Handle underwriting, portfolio management, and portfolio upkeep tasks for new loan requests and existing portfolios

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or a similar field
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and/or other commercial banking products and services
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards, and practices
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit, loan structuring, and pricing dynamics
  • Credit analyst training completed
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills
