About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, structure, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of major and complex commercial loans
- Work with the Vice President, Commercial Banker to manage loans and monitor and identify credit risks
- Participate in underwriting and closing desirable credits to support Bank, region, and branch goals
- Assure compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations
- Interface with clients in person, by phone, and by email to assess credit needs and determine financing structures and required analysis
- Gather and analyze information for financing requests presented with the Relationship Manager to senior management or Loan Committee
- Coordinate processing of approved loans and ensure compliance with agreements, customer needs, and Bank lending policies
- Obtain sufficient customer information and documentation
- Assist with problems related to loan processing and servicing within the Relationship Manager's portfolio
- Reinforce superior customer service through follow-through with customers and employees
- Perform underwriting, portfolio management, and portfolio upkeep tasks for new loan requests and existing portfolios
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or a similar field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and/or commercial banking products and services
- Intermediate knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards, and practices
- Intermediate knowledge of commercial credit, loan structuring, and pricing dynamics
- Completed credit analyst training
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills
