About the role
- Lead, supervise and manage the daily pipeline of loans assigned to the team
- Provide guidance to staff on expectations and communicate frequently with Loan Processing and Underwriting departments
- Ensure quality and compliance of docs and funding associates with company policies
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of company and regulatory changes affecting the funding process
- Assist in development and implementation of training programs
- Develop and maintain clear guidelines of department workflow
- Review all wires for dual approval process
- Manage various pipelines with attention to lock expiration
- Communicate to treasury regarding funding’s and federal reference numbers
- Ensure the team is communicating and following up
- Assist departmental staff when necessary
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development
Requirements
- 10+ years of related experience in Retail Residential Mortgage Closing/Funding or similar field
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- Previous leadership experience required
- Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending
- Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations
- Advanced Conventional and Government loan experience required
- Advanced experience with Encompass
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills
