Key responsibilities & impact

support the Company’s Legal Department and business partners by providing legal advice and counsel on commercial lending and related credit matters
contribute to the broader legal practice by advising on practice-specific business transactions
partner with internal stakeholders to support the implementation and administration of legal and regulatory requirements impacting the Company’s lending business
manage and oversee outside counsel in connection with lending matters
perform legal research and analysis
support department and company initiatives as needed
oversee the work of assigned attorney or non-attorney staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor Degree required
5+ years of related experience in Legal
Active license to practice law in California
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of a broad spectrum of commercial finance transactions
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of secured transactions, Uniform Commercial Code, and real property law
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Expert organizational and time management skills
Expert speaking and writing communication skills
