About the role
- Analyze title insurance risks, underwriting issues, and regulatory concerns.
- Provide underwriting solutions to agents, sales team, and title examiners in accordance with Westcor company guidelines as well as local, state and federal law.
- Handle residential as well as limited commercial transactions underwriting.
- Present training seminars to educate title agents and production staff (both online and in person).
- Provide outstanding customer service while making sound underwriting decisions.
- Handle a high volume of underwriting inquiries via email and telephone in a timely, responsive, and professional manner.
- Analyze and respond to indemnity requests.
- Travel with sales staff for agent visits throughout the state.
- Work well in a remote team environment.
Requirements
- J.D. degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Strong knowledge of Florida real property law and the title insurance industry.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
