About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze title insurance risks, underwriting issues, and regulatory concerns.
Provide underwriting solutions to agents, sales team, and title examiners in accordance with Westcor company guidelines as well as local, state and federal law.
Handle residential as well as limited commercial transactions underwriting.
Present training seminars to educate title agents and production staff (both online and in person).
Provide outstanding customer service while making sound underwriting decisions.
Handle a high volume of underwriting inquiries via email and telephone in a timely, responsive, and professional manner.
Analyze and respond to indemnity requests.
Travel with sales staff for agent visits throughout the state.
Work well in a remote team environment.

Requirements

What you’ll need

J.D. degree.
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
Member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
Strong knowledge of Florida real property law and the title insurance industry.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
