About the role

  • The Maintenance Engineer (m/f/d) plays a critical role in ensuring that production and utility systems are operated safely, efficiently, and reliably.
  • This position is responsible for developing and implementing asset criticality and reliability strategies, optimizing maintenance plans, and leading root cause analyses to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment availability.
  • The Maintenance Engineer analyzes equipment performance data, drives preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and works closely with Operations, Safety, Quality, and Engineering to ensure compliant, high-performing, and reliable production systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Maintenance, Reliability, or Engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment (preferably pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries)
  • Experience implementing equipment reliability programs (RCM, TPM, PdM)
  • Strong proficiency in SAP
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods (e.g., Minitab)
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as GMP, ISO, and safety requirements
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • Strong project management and communication skills
