About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fulfill assigned teaching load in assigned courses and associated clinical education
- Participate in and contribute to course, curriculum, and program assessment activities through the University's continuous improvement plan
- Improve and upgrade class materials and syllabi using University processes
- Use varied teaching methodologies to facilitate observable student achievement of prescribed learning outcomes
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, the teaching/learning process, and individual students
- Keep regular approved faculty office hours
- Provide timely feedback and academic advising according to University protocols
- Demonstrate advanced teaching skills through evaluations, reviews, and evidence of student achievement
- Mentor students and faculty as assigned by the department/program dean or chair
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum three years of clinical supervision of speech-language pathology students at a clinical site or in higher education
- At least three years in speech-language pathology, including documented clinical practice
- Clinical skills to cultivate a learner-centered environment and foster excellence
- Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services
- Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills applicable to specialized program area
- Knowledge of accreditation standards
- Graduate degree with an emphasis in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders is required
- Degrees must be awarded by an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body
