About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a range of moderate to complex claims with minimal supervision, including bodily injury, PIP, and general liability property damage
  • Use critical thinking to research and develop a foundation for making coverage decisions
  • Take ownership of claims from investigation through resolution
  • Evaluate coverage, determine liability, assess damages, and negotiate fair settlements
  • Maintain accurate reserves, manage files effectively, and present claims to committees when needed
  • Draft reservation of rights and coverage denial letters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–3 years of complex claims handling experience, particularly in bodily injury and general liability property damage claims
  • Strong understanding of policy language, endorsements, contracts, risk transfer agreements, and indemnification tenders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred
  • AINS and/or AIC designations
