Key responsibilities & impact

Handle complex homeowners and commercial property claims with minimal supervision
Investigate claims thoroughly and analyze coverage, liability, and damages
Develop well-supported coverage positions
Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys
Maintain proactive file management and accurate reserving practices
Oversee litigated files and present claims to internal committees
Ensure adherence to audit and departmental guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience handling homeowners and commercial property claims
Strong analytical thinking
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ability to build relationships while navigating complex situations
High level of comfort with claims technology and systems
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Industry designations such as Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), or CPCU coursework preferred
Acceptable driving record
