About the role
- Handle complex homeowners and commercial property claims with minimal supervision
- Investigate claims thoroughly, analyze coverage, liability, and damages
- Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys
- Maintain proactive file management and accurate reserving practices
- Oversee litigated files and present claims to internal committees
Requirements
- Prior experience handling property claims
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
- Industry designations such as Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), or CPCU coursework are preferred
- Comfortable with claims technology and systems
- Must maintain an acceptable driving record
