About the role
- Engage in the Information Security Program and ensure that all tasks of the function are achieved in a timely manner
- Using security applications, monitor daily or weekly reports and security logs for unusual events
- Assist in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation
- Assist in administration and maintenance of information security toolset (e.g., ServiceNow, Vulnerability Scanning)
- Execute information security projects as assigned
- Participate in the creation and delivery of Information Security Awareness, Training, and Education program materials
- Carry out research on information security and privacy issues and keep abreast of the latest technology, industry best practices, and hardening standards
- Assist with management of security events/alerts raised by the security event tools and ensure assigned events/incidents are mitigated by their SLA
- Solve real business problems as part of an agile delivery team
Requirements
- Enrollment in a Computer Science, Engineering, or IT-related program with an interest in Information Security
- Can perform tasks autonomously and under limited supervision
- Basic technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems and a wide range of security concepts
- Basic analytical skills to analyze security requirements
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Enjoys working as part of a team
