Manual QA Engineer – Payments, Fintech Focus

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform end-to-end manual testing across the full product lifecycle, including development, validation, and release phases;
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios for functional, regression, and integration testing — with a focus on payment flows, transaction states, and financial correctness;
- Take full ownership of the QA process, ensuring consistent product quality across all releases
- Independently validate and approve releases, ensuring platform stability and readiness for deployment;
- Validate financial operations end-to-end: deposits (PUSH / ACH / wire / Fedwire), withdrawals, and crypto deposits to wallet addresses — verifying amounts, fees, currency/asset types, rounding, and balance reconciliation after each operation;
- Test negative and edge cases critical to financial products: insufficient funds, duplicate/idempotent requests, transaction limits, rejected/failed payments, and partial states;
- Identify, document, and track defects, and collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution;
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, payment business logic, and improve product quality;
- Continuously enhance QA processes, methodologies, and documentation standards;
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives;
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of commercial experience as a Manual QA Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience working across the full product lifecycle in Agile environments
- Solid expertise in manual testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing
- Good understanding of QA methodologies and test automation principles
- Proven ability to take ownership of testing processes and make release decisions independently
- Experience with test documentation: test cases, checklists, and bug reports
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher level of English
